Former Birmingham City youth midfielder Rico joined Town on Deadline Day in August 2024.
Ascending through the youth ranks with The Blues, he became a stand-out with the U18s as skipper, later featuring regularly for the U21s alongside talents such as Jordan James and Jobe Bellingham. He was awarded a professional deal ahead of the 2022/23 season and was extended again through the 2023/24 season.
Following his release that summer, Rico joined Town for the 2024/25 season and regularly showcased his technical ability and flair – most notably with a stunning free-kick in front of the Dias Stand against rivals Newtown AFC, as Town ran out 3-1 winners in November 2024.
