Mae CPD Tref Aberystwyth yn falch i groesawi Zac Hartley nôl i'r Clwb ar gyfer y tymor 2024/25 JD Cymru Premier. Mae'r chwaraewr amryddawn ifanc yn dychwelyd ar ôl ymuno â'r Clwb yn Ionawr 2024 o'r Drenewydd. Aberystwyth Town FC are delighted to welcome back Zac Hartley to the Club for the 2024/25 JD Cymru Premier season. The young and versatile winger returns to the Club after impressing since joining in January 2024 from Newtown AFC. Born in Shrewsbury, 22-year-old Zac is previously of the Shrews Academy at youth level. Having made the step into senior football, he enjoyed spells at Frickley Athletic, Truro City, and Bromsgrove Sporting FC before joining National League North side Hednesford in October 2022.
Zac crossed the border last summer, joining JD Cymru Premier rivals Newtown AFC where he has made nine appearances in all competitions -- including at Aberystwyth University Park Avenue Stadium in November 2023 as The Robins ran out 0-1 winners late on. With his opportunities limited at Latham Park, Zac made the move to Ceredigion in January 2024 and immediately made an impression, featuring in 10 consecutive games before an injury away at Pontypridd saw him miss the final two games. Capable in both defence and attack, Zac found his spot as a lightning-quick and tricky right-sided winger who added a new dynamic to the Town attack. He also contributed on the scoresheet, with a season-defining winning goal in the 91st minute away at Colwyn Bay -- which ultimately proved the difference between the two teams in the race for survival. Zac told us: "Coming in last year was a great experience; with great people at the club, I felt right at home straight away. Last season we achieved what we set out to and that was to stay in the league, but this year we really want to kick on from that and with the squad of players we have there is no reason why we can’t do that. The togetherness of the group is the main reason I wanted to return and the ambition we have this year puts us in a great stead and something I couldn’t say no to. I’m really determined to have a good season this year and repay the manager with the faith he’s had in me since I joined." Manager Anthony Williams commented: "Coming in mid-season, Zac showed his qualities and really came into his own toward the end of the season and made a big difference to the group. Having had a period out of the game before last season, he's confident that he can be even better and knows he has plenty to prove. I'm looking forward to seeing how he develops next season as he's a threat going forward and is solid in defence down that right-hand-side, so he'll be an important player for us again and I'm delighted to get him back through the door." Croeso nôl, Zac! / Welcome back, Zac! Comments are closed.
